 WOMEN'S CLUB OF COLOGNE
Local in Cologne • Global at Heart

Women’s Rights are Human Rights

6 - 8 November 2026

Hosted by American International Women's Club of Cologne

Get ready for a conference that’s meaningful, affordable—and fun! Join us in the heart of Cologne for an unforgettable celebration of FAWCO’s global impact, local outreach, and unwavering support of women’s rights.

We’ve got a unique lineup: a fabulous welcome dinner, an inspiring roster of dynamic speakers, and an interactive agenda that includes a Janet Davis–style trivia session to test your knowledge and spark some laughs. And the fun doesn’t stop there—a complimentary concert with Steinway Artist and author Robin Meloy Goldsby, generously sponsored by Amerika Haus NRW, will add the perfect musical touch.

This regional meeting will be a little different: we’re switching things around and offering tours in the morning, meeting sessions in the afternoon and socialising in the evening.

Stolpersteine, Beneath the Surface: The Lives of Three Women in Cologne during the Nazi Era

Since 1992, more than 130,000 Stolpersteine (“stumbling stones”) have been laid to commemorate Jews, Roma-Sinti, homosexuals, and resisters deported from countries invaded by Nazis. Terry Mandel, a descendant of Holocaust victims, survivors, and refugees from Cologne, will share the stories of three women whose interconnected lives unraveled during the years between 1925-1940, along with Terry’s discovery of how their stories now intersect with hers. Our exploration takes place in one of the former centers of Jewish life in Cologne. Please come dressed for a little walking and remember that we will be outdoors.

A code for participants is available once you have registered and paid for the meeting.
