Giant California Sequoia Tree
In 2006 the club donated a Giant California Sequoia Tree to the City of Cologne. It is planted in the Rhine Park.

Several members were in attendance. 
Club President Mary Brunowsky (left) and Mayor Angela Spizig (right) are seen here with shovels. A dedication was held on March 6, 2007, where the City of Cologne presented a brass plate inscribed with our former name, American Women's Club Cologne, which was placed at the base of the tree. Herr Bochmann (Director of the Rhine Park), Frau Angela Spizig (Vice Mayor), Herr Bauer (Cologne Landscape Director) and Mrs. Mary Brunowsky (AWCC President) were in attendance. |
